Marion Lindley Returns From Pacific Duty and Wound
Cpl Marion Lindley arrived home last week and is on furlough at the home of his uncle and aunt Mr and Mrs E O Sempert. He spent over two and a half years with an infantry outfit of the Civil Division in the South Pacific. He was wounded on Biac Island June 18 by a direct hit and later hospitalized. Lindley attended Powers School and graduated Union High School in 1998. He is to report at Santa Barbara California on the 20th for reassignment. He served in New Guinea and the Netherlands East Indies prior to his wound.

Three Die Sunday In Shooting Scrape
Myrtle Point reports a triple tragedy Sunday night as Eugend E Adams age 40 used a hunting rifle to kill Mrs Barbara Partridges Dahrens age 22 and Edyeard A Watling, then killed himself. Watling died later at Yank hospital. Adams died instantly. Partridges family and local authorities witnessed the shootings. Funeral services were arranged for Adams and Watling, with Dahrens set for Saturday.

William Myers Dies at Home in Rees
Former resident William Myers died at his home in Rees on December 4 from a heart attack. Funeral services were held last Thursday at 1 90 at Litwiller Funeral Chapel.
