Infantry Weapons Show At Coquille Aimed At War Loan Drive

Coquille to Form Local Credit Bureau

Coquille merchants back plans to establish a Retail Credit Bureau along lines of Myrtle Point’s three year old model. Preston L McDonald will manage both Myrtle Point and Coquille bureaus sharing time between towns. Mrs McDonald owns the Coquille bureau after purchasing Western Mercantile Co and the Coquille Credit Bureau from George Griggs. Bandon Man Dies at Hospital After Suicide Attempt

August Ertel, 70, of Bandon died at Mont hospital after a self injurious attempt on November 2. He slashed wrists and throat with a dull knife but remained conscious. survived by wife and three sons, including Albert recently released from service. Body taken to Eugene for cremation.
