The Church of God dedication occurred on November 30 at 3 p.m. with about two hundred attendees. The event honored the rebuilding after a fire that destroyed the first church prior to the May dedication. Dedication prayers were led by Dwite Brown and Rev. Louis Rose delivered the sermon. The church began in 1935 at Minnie Keller’s home. first minister in 1938 and property secured in 1940.
