Ancient giant cut down in Cront Forest sequoia park
A sequoia about 2,000 years old was cut in Cront Forest near Sequoia National Park, California. Its rings indicate a 1200 year old event from Nettning that caused a scar. Beetles left preserved in scar tissue reveal no material change in the species over 1,200 years according to entomologists.
