School board reviews draft handbooks and new fees

Coos County Receives Share of O and C Lands Funds
Coos County is among eighteen western Oregon counties sharing 49.3 million dollars from federal O and C Railroad lands revenue. E. J. French exchange student arrives for first American week
Anne Marie Boain, a French girl, starts a two to three month stay with the Lloyd Bast family in Lee Valley after arriving in August. Her luggage lagged behind in Eugene due to travel mishaps from Paris via New York and San Francisco. Dr. Peter Wolfe retrieved the bag later that week as Anne Marie began adjusting to life in town and planning to visit local sites for meals and activities.
