Democratic US Senate hopeful Phil H. McAlmond spoke at the Myrtle Palm Chamber of Commerce noon meeting on August 7. The Pasadena native, 38, plans investments and property management in Portland and spoke on the Vietnam war and tax costs. Youth Court Cases In District Court At Myrtle Point
Six Myrtle Point youths appeared in district court during the past week to plead not guilty on charges of minors in possession of toxicants. James MacKerrow was found not guilty on August 1, while Robert Howell Max Kaseberg Dale Rochek and Dan Rusek were dismissed for lack of evidence. Ross Shepherd was found guilty, fined 75 dollars plus 5 dollars court cost, and plans to appeal with a 50 appeal bond. Ron Clark and Robert Bouska were also involved. Clark faces a Sept. 12 appearance.
