Naval planes land at Myrtle Point from San Diego
Three naval airplanes arrived in Myrtle Point at 3 o'clock Saturday from San Diego and departed for the North on Sunday. Two landed on the fair grounds while one touched down in a nearby field with rough ground but no serious damage. The crew included Lieutenant J. D. Banner Lieutenant Commodore Pennoyer and F. H. James as the planes followed the Pacific route before straying onto the Smith Powers Logging road tracks.

George Hermann Stranded by Ferry Amid Late Home Arrival

Logging Truck Destroyed by Fire in Suspected Arson

State road crew began oiling operations Friday on the Middle Fork highway from the canyon near the splash dam to Bridge.
