Coos C of C Highway Committee Urges Action on Roads
The Coos County Chamber of Commerce Highway committee urged action on highway construction in Coos county. They pressed for improvement of Highway 42 Coquille to Myrtle Point and questioned delay on Highway 101 south of Gold Beach. They asked for letters to lawmakers supporting the Federal Road program and requested representation at Oregon State Highway Commission meetings. The group noted 32 miles of new pavement and 25 miles of repaving planned plus a new bridge near the Chrome plant.
