The Myrtle Point Union High School typing team won first place at the state contest in Corvallis, the second time in six years. Members were Elizabeth Dement, Mary Ellen Hartley, Eloise Crowley, and Julia Myr Leatherman, with Eleanor Saubert as former leader and Alice Alvardes as instructor. Mary Ellen Hartley won the amateur division gold medal, Eloise Crowley the novice silver, and Julia Myr Leatherman placed fourth in the same division.

Two Cars Collide At Street In Suburban Traffic Incident
