Myrtle Point High Spring Concerts Set for April Evening
The Myrtle Point high school freshman and concert bands present an April 22 concert at 8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria with tickets at the door. Freshman band directed by Bob Zimbieman and Les Simons performs King of Glory Adagio and Allegro and Design of Autumn. The concert band follows with eight pieces including Adoramuste Prelude and Fugue in D Minor Echo Song March from Maller Second Symphony Laterjentens Son tag Pearl Fisher's Overture Latin Lament and Men of Ohio. The high school spring choral concert is set for April 26 at 8 p.m. in the cafeteria with combined choirs. no admission charge.

Pomona Grange Backs County Zoning After Meeting
Pomona Grange voted to support county zoning after a Bureau of Municipal Research speaker. County Commissioners J J Geaney Charles Mahaffy and Howard Lentz attended. Police placed 11 minors and juveniles in custody over the weekend. Seven were minors and four were juveniles. One minor girl and one juvenile girl were among those taken into custody for after hours violations and possession of intoxicating liquor. Five were jailed overnight with others remanded to parents. Juveniles to appear in superior court.

Auto hits seven year old boy on Highway 42
A seven year old boy, Kim Leroy Lambert, was struck by a southbound car driven by Mrs Marcella Peterson at 2 45 p m on Highway 42 at Willow. He suffered broken legs, cuts and bruises and was hospitalized at Mast Hospital. The driver was not cited and witnesses say the boy darted from an unmarked crosswalk into traffic. Separately, Myrtle Point High School boosters presented funds to the athletic department to cover wrestlers sweaters for the state tournament and plan a May booster meeting to elect officers.
