Club Pioneer Party Slated by Myrtle Point Woman's Club

The Myrtle Point Woman's Club schedules its annual pioneers and senior citizens party for April 34 at 1 30 p m in the Presbyterian church. The event has run eight years and invites all early settlers families and senior citizens. Last year about 100 members attended with families. transportation can be arranged by calling Mrs Verne Lundy or Mrs A L Powrie.

Tracksters Show Great Record In Hayward Relay

Myrtle Point tracksters impressed at the Hayward Relays in Eugene finishing fourth in Class B. Reed Gurney tied for second in pole vault at 11-8, Tom Johnson scored in high jump, Dave Winningham placed in the 18-18 event, and BeeX Al Stibitz set a school mark with 48-5% in shot put for third.

Inter-Club Golf Tourney Set Between Elks and Coos Bay

Members of the Coquille Valley Golf and Country Club will join Coos Bay Country Club for the first annual inter-club golf tournament next Sunday. Breakfast at 8 a.m. and tee-off later.
