Powers Man Killed in Log Accident Near Powers
Willie Emery, 32, died Monday afternoon when eight saplings uprooted in logging work struck him on the head. He worked for Barr Logging Co. on the Upper Sixes River near Powers and had lived there for years. He was a Mason. Funeral services will be at Open Bible Church in Powers Friday at 2 p.m. under Schroeder's mortuary direction with Rev. David E. Leman officiating. Interment will be in the Powers Masonic Cemetery.
