Arago OSC Student to Lead Military Ball Floor

The Mytle Point Odd Fellows lodge held a Wednesday social with dancing and cards and refreshments. Local candidate Henry Harrison is to be instructed in the first degree at Sunset IOOF in Marshfield Friday evening. The Marshfield degree team will perform the work, with several local members traveling to observe the ceremony. Delegates Ray Rodkard and James Rodkard were elected for the Grand Lodge session.

Citizens' Military Training camp to be held at Vancouver Barracks Washington from July 2 to July 31 with an estimated 563 cadets. The program aims to foster citizenship, patriotism, self discipline and physical fitness through military drill sports and games under expert directors. Myrtle Point FFA Elects Officers For New Term

A national 4-H dairy foods demonstration contest opens to girls in foods projects. Teams of two work under leaders and agents to present milk and dairy based dishes and drinks. Portland enlistments complete second naval quota shipment

The Portland recruiting station completed enlistments for a second shipment of 66 men in the month. Recruits trained that night for the US Naval Training Station in San Diego California, to undergo eight weeks of training before assignment to vessels of the AT and Newt. One enlistee was set at Onhan Myzile Point.
