Sp/4 Terry L. Staman of G Battery 5 Kell Artillery was killed in a helicopter crash in Vietnam where he had served since October 1966. A Myrtle Point High School graduate class of 1966 and son of Mr and Mrs LaVern Staman of Dora, his funeral services are pending.

The Myrtle Point School Board held an April special meeting with the Budget Committee at the high school library to consider budget cuts after a levy defeat by 60 votes.
