Cancer Crusade To Start Here Next Monday
The 1961 Crusade of the American Cancer Society for Coos County will begin Monday April 10 and run through April 24. Mrs. Douglas C Welsh, president of the county chapter, says hundreds of volunteers will call at local businesses to solicit aid for cancer patients and prevention. Volunteers will wear the ACS emblem. The Coos County unit has operated four years with a service committee and educational films shown, plus doctor panels to answer questions.
