On Wednesday September 27 at noon at the bride’s parents home two miles northeast of Hoxie Rev George Winters officiated the ceremony uniting Verne Levere Lundy and Mary Edith Cooper. Dow's Dryer Starts Up As Apple Processing Expands
F. S. Dow's dryer near completion fired one furnace on Tuesday and began operations with about one kilm ready. J. Dow traveled from Marshfield to oversee setup and brought apples from the bay side. The plant expects to process three to four hundred tons of fruit this year, aiding local cannery and dairy efforts and encouraging farmer input for next season.
