Memorial Services for Veterans Attend Latter Day Saints Church
Memorial services under Col. Jewell post Grand Army of the Republic were held Sunday and Monday. Veterans paid respects at graves with flowers and evergreen decor. Elder F J Chapburn delivered an address praised for courage of convictions. A large Benson opera house program followed with music, recitations, and speeches by Judge John K Pfall and Rev Geo W Taylor.

Alfred Felter umpired as fans packed the grandstand during the Myrtle excursion, which covered expenses. The boat arrived back in Myrtle Point around 10 o’clock that night.
