Farewell Reception For Pastor Rev Geo W Taylor
The Presbyterian Ladies Aid hosted a surprise farewell for Pastor Rev Geo W Taylor and his family Saturday. Over fifty attended as music and laughter filled the manse. Refreshments were served except for Prof Park and Dr Wetmore who advocate not eating late dinners. Dr Wetmore spoke on the church’s progress, the pastor responded, and well wishes were given for his new field. A separate notice invites L C Lisemore of Fort Klamath Oregon to contact about a creamery cooperative with ranchers.

Deaths of Roby Joseph Norris and Eric From in Coos County
Roby Joseph Norris aged 20 died May 19 1911 near Lee Oregon from drowning. His body was found May 25 and funeral services were held at Fox church officiated by Rev Thos Barklow. He was born March 18 1891 in Johnson County Tennessee and survived by his parents Mr and Mrs J A Norris a brother and sister. Eric From pioneer of Coquille Valley died May 25 1911 at age 86 at his home. Funeral held May 27 at 2 30 pm in Latter Day Saints church with G A R organizing. he was Civil War veteran and also served in German army.

Starting June 1 the Roseburg to Myrtle Point stage travels on a 15 hour schedule leaving Myrtle Point at 7:00 AM for a 10:30 PM Roseburg arrival. It departs Roseburg at 6:00 PM, arriving at Myrtle Point 9:00 PM. Official says travel time will shrink by two hours as roads improve and auto connections to the mail stage are added.
