Little Girl Fatally Shot by Brother in Tent Home
A two year old girl, Ethel Thomas, died at White Cross hospital from a through neck wound caused when her nine year old brother Ray dropped a .22 rifle in their tent home near Dickson's Grave. The accident happened around 4:30 pm Tuesday. funeral services were held at the Methodist church south at 10 am today with interment in Myrtle Point cemetery.

Coquille Defeats Myrtle Point In Practice Clash
In Coquille last Sunday the Bears beat Myrtle Point 9 to 2 in a practice game. Myrtle Point pitcher Poland struggled due to lack of throwing practice while Coquille hitters connected for several runs. Guernsey had the only error at first as Coquille showed strong fielding. Next Sunday Myrtle Point visits North Bend while Coquille and Bandon travel to Marshfield for the usual 9:00 am excursion.

Will Build New Barn Near Myrtle Point Farm
T M Hermann of Myrtle Point plans a model dairy barn five miles above Myrtle Point. He ordered 84 000 feet of lumber from Smith Powers mill for delivery near the site at nominal cost. The project illustrates the railroad’s benefit to South Fork Coquille river farmers and would require two four horse teams for a month to transport the lumber from Myrtle Point to the farm.

Charles N Johnson Dies From Bromidin Overdose
Charles N Johnson aged 44 a bachelor living with his brother Harve Johnson on the South Fork died last Saturday from an overdose of bromidin. He had long suffered illness and reportedly took the drug to aid sleep. Funeral services and burial were held at the private cemetery on the Sheldon Warner place conducted by Rev. Thomas Barklow.

Auto Spoils Fishing Trip Delays Bandon Party
C. E. Kopf editor of the Bandon Recorder and wife with P. H. Poole and A. W. Stuart were en route to Rock Creek for a fishing trip when their auto balked near Myrtle Point. They camped roadside until morning then returned to town and picnicked while the car was repaired. The group viewed the Enterprise linotype, suggesting Kopf may install one at the Recorder office this fall.

Happy and Mistress Vanish From Roseburg Restaurant Scheme
Happy also known as L A Woodworth and a woman posing as his wife ran a restaurant in a tent near Shelley Spencer's in Roseburg. They left town last weekend after a week of planning to sell the business. A warrant for adultery and non support was issued after the wife testified in Roseburg. Woodworth and the companion fled between 2 and daylight Sunday morning, believed to have walked out of town. The wife and four children remain with friends in Roseburg. Rube Leonard seized the tent and sold furnishings to Mrs Ezra Straw who reopened the place. Woodworth and the woman reportedly left on the Elizabeth from Bandon Sunday night. Sheriff Gage alerted San Francisco officers for arrest.

Missing Man Found Near Roseburg by Relatives
David Davidson, aged 638 years, who disappeared from his Roseburg home weeks ago, was found by relatives in this city last week and returned home. He is said to be slightly off mentally and had threatened to end his life by jumping into the river.
