Tragic Czarina Wreck Claims All but One Crew
The steel ship Czarina wrecked on Coos Bay bar, Wednesday, with 32 aboard. Five men were wash overboard. the second engineer survived. Harold Millis, son of the local railroad manager, was the last survivor found. Rescue attempts were thwarted by a raging storm and a drifting vessel soon to break apart.
