Funeral for F A Parrish Fountain in Coos County
Andrew Parrish Fountain born October 24 1831 died January 24 1915. He moved from Tennessee to Coos county Oregon in 1883 with his family. He married twice father of fifteen with eight surviving. He joined the Seventh Day Adventist church in 1897 and remained a member until his death. His wife died December 27 1914. Elder Thomas Barklow of the Brethren church conducted the funeral.

At the adjourned annual meeting of the Coos County Farmers' Union Warehouse Co. in Coquille yesterday the following directors were elected W L Kistner and I T Weekly of Coquille W Lee Ray of Myrtle Point and Taylor Siglin and Geo F Smith of Marshfield.

The Coos county judgeship is settled with Judge Hall resigning and James Watson the Republican nominee last fall being appointed by the governor. Watson expects his commission from Salem soon as the Supreme Court decision on related county offices remains awaited.

Coos Bay Times reports Marshfield affirmative beat Coquille 2 1 and Band on North Bend 2 1 at two sites securing six points for Marshfield. Bandon won 7 points to 6 in the county championship, earning intra district bid. North Bend and Coquille both lost. Debaters included Eva Hansen Ruth Cowan and Wesley Seamian Harry Walters Axil Brandt Randall Jones with judges from Coquille and Myrtle Point. Myrtle Point did not participate due to illness.

Homesteader William C. Timm Found Dead In Coquille Area
A man identified as William C. Timm, a part time homesteader on a forty acre claim above Myrtle Point, was found dead after a suspected drowning on the Coquille River. Local authorities ruled accidental death after finding his boat jammed in logs and noted missing groceries and a lengthy beard hairstyle. His brother H. C. Timm of Sawtelle, California, was notified and plans for burial were issued with a possible later trip to Myrtle Point.
