T. J. Davis, an old timer of western South Dakota, died Sunday evening January 31 1937 at the home of his daughter and son in law Mr and Mrs Floyd Cook in Belle Fourche after five weeks illness. Roy James, a Black resident of Coquille, attacked Glen Shores with a razor at Shores pool hall after a dispute over a game. Shores survived a throat lunge. 20 stitches required. James fled toward Myrtle Point but was arrested near Norwood and held on $3,000 bond for assault with intent to kill.
