Tax Law Amendment Aims to Centralize Tax Collection
Senator I S Smith frames a plan to place county tax duties under the county tax collector with liens on property after January 1 each year. The reform would end sheriff led delinquent collections and require notices to taxpayers instead of newspaper lists.
