Good Roads Move Gains Momentum Across Pacific States

Oregon Washington and California delegates met in Medford for a Tri-State Good Roads convention to plan highway improvements. Officials led by J H Baxter and others will appoint permanent committees this month. Major projects include Columbia highway work in Hood River and Columbia counties, Cr ook county McKenzie pass improvements, Lake County Central Oregon highway signage, and school fund apportionment totaling 373490.95 with Multnomah receiving 91883.95.

Auto collision on Maple and Fourth ends with repairs

Sunday afternoon crash at Fourth and Maple near Laird Stage Barn involved Henry Hermann and Dr. Endicott. Hermann admitted fault for being on the wrong side. Endicott’s car sustained minor damage, Hermann’s suffered a bent axle and rear steering damage, no injuries.

Creek Trip To Falls Ends In Jolly Rural Adventure

A party visiting the Creek canyon reached the falls and Cave of the Winds after a long journey. They camped above the falls and faced yellow jackets. Dave rescued a fallen lady from the water and aided the group during a storm while Joe taught the crowd to shoot a Wampus. The group returned Monday wishing for longer stay.
