Bartlett Adds High Grade Jersey To Dairy Herd
B Bartlett received a valuable full blood Jersey from Breakwater, a two year old heifer, delivered in crate and moved to his wagon. The cow is a half sister of Pearly Exile St. 2, with a yearly record of 12 345 pounds of milk and 983 pounds 9 ounces of butter at age two years five months. A son of the same cow heads Bartlett's herd and several fine calves exist. Butter value at $390 in an Oregon market suggests profit potential, and Bartlett aims to build a stock strain to boost Coog county dairy reputation.

Mrs Anna Bender Dies At 90 In Myrtle Point
Mrs Anna Bender mother of the late Edward Bender died in Myrtle Point at 12 20 a m Tuesday August 2 at age 90 9 months and 18 days. Funeral from Brethren church at 2 pm Tuesday conducted by Rev Thomas Barklow interment in Myrtle Point cemetery beside her son. Survived by daughter in law Mrs E Bender three grandsons A H Bender E E Bender A L Bender four California nieces and many friends. Born Anna Trust October 15 1819 in Frankenburg Curk Hess Germany she came to the United States about 1831 to California in 1859 returning to Baltimore then Oregon in 1883 to live with her son in Myrtle Point. She was a German Lutheran church member.
