Boy's Body Found After Runaway From Glenwood Institution
The body of Ralph Helms, fifteen, who fled the Glenwood institution for the feeble minded on March 17, was found frozen in a field miles south of Glenwood. Two other boys who ran away with him returned the same day badly frozen. he is believed to have died from freezing. Helms was sent from Chariton where his only relative, an uncle, resides.

J S Judd of Topeka Kansas was shot and killed by Mrs G B Walker of Miles Iowa inside her Las Vegas New Mexico apartment. Walker claims Judd attacked her in her home after he came for borrowed negatives. She called her husband after the shooting saying she killed a man in self defense.

In Tipton Iowa on March 31 investigation into a baby left at Clark Taylor's Plato home identified Lee Osborn of Davenport as the man who hired a team to Plato with the child. Osborn admitted involvement. a warrant was executed in Davenport and he was brought to Tipton. Preliminary hearing postponed a week. mother is his stepdaughter and a home for the infant may be found locally.
