The Rock Island line began Sunday morning SW division service with a 40 minute late start. A Sunday morning post office hours from 9 to 10 aid night mail and the morning train. The east bound train ran at 9 53 PM, and a daily 7 58 AM tourist car runs to San Francisco with a standard sleeper to El Paso, then connects to Southern Pacific. The line will be heavily promoted with focus on mileage and time advantages.
