Christine Ross a week old infant injured Wednesday when portions of two buildings collapsed on West Second near Mahentine General hospital. Grandfather Harold Ross remains hospitalized with a wrenching back from freeing the baby. Eight others escaped injury as third floor collapsed above Spiegel catalog order office at 118 West Second. The vacant 116 West Second drop triggered movement of Spiegel office to temporary quarters at Second and Chestnut. Demolition contractor Casey Jones began removing remnants of 116 West Second.
