Traas Rites Set for Friday in Muscatine
Funeral services for Mrs Nellie Traas of 416 Busch street will be at 2 30 pm Friday at the First Baptist church with Rev Vernon Shontz in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. She died Wednesday at 2 30 pm after a six month illness. Survived by husband Adrian Traas three Westrate sons Marcus Matthew and Leonard and Edwin two brothers Josiah Klap Antwerp Belgium Peter Klap Rotterdam Holland and sister Mrs Cena Van Weile West Sayville New York. She was a longtime First Baptist Church worker. Body at Fairbanks Home for Funerals.

Becker Funeral to Be Held Friday
Henry Becker, formerly of Muscatine and longtime Iola Kansas resident, died at his home Tuesday night. His body will be brought to Muscatine Friday at 2 AM for burial at Greenwood cemetery, with services at 10 AM at Fairbanks Home for Funerals. Rev. Father Stanley P. Jones will officiate. He was the father of Mrs. Fred H. Hoffman.

Thirty six Die in Dynamite Blast at Porto Novo

Million Dollar Oil Fire Destroys Pratt Works on Brooklyn Waterfront
A massive blaze at Standard Oil Pratt works in Brooklyn poured gasoline crude oil and turpentine into the East River between the Williamsburg and Fifty-ninth Street bridges.
