Two pioneer women in the Muscatine area died within hours of each other. Mrs. Magdaline Hammerick of Wilton, 80, first white child born in Wilton, died at her home near Wilton after pneumonia. Mrs. C. E. Buckman, 83, died in West Liberty after eight months confined by a broken hip. Burial plans and survivors listed.

Information reached Mrs. F H Hoff man of 1300 Oakland drive about the death of her father Henry Becker at Iola Kansas Tuesday evening. Becker born June 19 1847 in Pennsylvania came to Muscatine as a boy lived there until 1900s moved to Iola and married Emma Huttig about 1877. He was an Odd Fellows member and survived by two sons Elmer Texas and Clarence Kansas City Mo a daughter Mrs Hoff man five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are in definite.
