A $30,000 project for White County airport in Carmi was announced by S. E. Bramlet president of the service operating the port. The plan adds three runways 3200 feet two and 2000 feet one with 100 foot oiled strips and 100 foot sod margins. Cabins and a restaurant will be built. The airport now has a single 2000 foot runway oriented north south.
