Rites for World War II Soldier Pfc Tennyson at Dahlgren
The casketed remains of Pfc Howard Wayne Tennyson arrive in Dahlgren for funeral services and reburial. Services are Sunday at 1 00 p m at Dahlgren Methodist Church with Rev Bird Green officiating, burial in the local cemetery. He served with the Kraut Killers Division of the 5th Army in Italy and was killed October 20 1944 at age 20. He was born April 1924 in Hamilton County and inducted February 1943, trained as a farmer before service.
