CIO Union Admits Raid On Plants Continues Page One

CIO United Steel Workers on strike since September 7 admitted raids on auto parts and fishing tackle plants. Rioters allegedly overturned and burned cars and smashed equipment. Gov. Sigler ordered a Grand Jury probe after amazement at such actions. One non-striker arrested for brick-throwing. raiders left before police. Glenn E. Seventeen members attended an all day meeting at Mrs. Aline York home on Tuesday November 30 with a covered dish dinner. Father Saves Family in Fire in Idaho One Room Home

Danville Idaho December 2 A father Wilbur Stevens 34 dragged his three preschool children from a fire that raced through their one room log home. He also woke his wife who was asleep and led her outside. Stevens suffered minor arm burns from attempting to ignite the stove fuel with a gasoline soaked rag.
