Rotary clinic examines twenty four Isabella youths for crippling risk
Twenty four youths from Isabella county were brought to the Presbyterian church for a free clinic for crippled children under Mt. Pleasant Rotary. Dr. J S Kidner of Detroit led the examination assisted by Dr. M F Brandstetter and Dr. C M Baskerville, with Miss Chase and nurses. Eight children eyed as needing attention will be treated as reports come in. Lunch was served by Rotary wives. Frank Lovell Dies at Wheel of Automobile in Clare
In Clare on Saturday afternoon Frank Lovell of Coleman aged 60 died at the wheel of his car as the vehicle reached James hill. He was with Mrs. Lovell and a daughter. the motor stalled as he fell forward. Coroner Maynard ruled heart failure. Funeral services were held in Coleman.

A surprise party honored Mr Henry Batten and Mrs Batten on their golden wedding anniversary at their Deerfield Township home. About 140 guests attended from Detroit Pontiac Fowlerville Gaines and Mt Pleasant. A wedding supper was served at 7 30 pm and the couple received a purse of gold.
