The Ocklawaha Chapter D A R starts its year with a meeting on Thursday October 7 at 2 30 pm at Miss Hattie Allen's home in Sorrento with hostesses Mrs. M F Cowart and Mrs. Roy Sanders.

A group of friends escorted a party of ladies on a long journey through New Orleans El Paso San Antonio the desert and San Diego with stops in San Francisco Yosemite and the Grand Canyon. The trip closed with sunset clouds over Dora and was warmly praised by attendees. A Friday meeting at Mrs Christie’s home discussed repairs to the King’s Daughters house in Sylvan Shores and planned a food sale for October and a nominating committee for October officers.
