Waterman Hospital Inaugurates Mental Health Program
Waterman Memorial Hospital in Eustis opens the area’s first Mental Health Program on September 18 under Dr. Gerald Franklin. The 1960 University of Illinois Medical School graduate has held psychiatry residencies and leadership roles at Ft. Jackson and Kais er Foundation. He and his family will live in Altamonte Springs while his Magnolia Street clinic remains open until the 1968 move to a new Waterman Mental Health Center as part of a $1.6 million expansion.
