Mount Dora leader keynote at Washington eco workshop
Mrs. Vernon L. Connor of Mount Dora, president of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, opened a four day youth environmental workshop at the National 4 H Center in Washington D C. More than 75 participants explored ecology resources and community action. Speakers included R Neil Sampson and Nathaniel P Reed with marine biologist Dr James P Ray. The council boasts about 500 000 US members with equal international affiliates.
