First National Bank marks 50th year anniversary
The First National Bank of Mount Dora celebrates its 50th anniversary this Friday. Historical records note the bank began Sept. 12, 1925 under a board including J. W. Simpson and L. R. Heim. Groundbreaking for a new building occurred Sept. 17, 1964, with trust services added in 1965 under Henrietta Horner.
