Public Hearing Set On Judge Selection Plan

A public hearing on a proposed plan for selection discipline and removal of judges drafted by The Florida Bar committee has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Friday September 18 at the George Washington Hotel in Jacksonville. Charter Presented To Tavares Jaycees

The Tavares Jaycees organized July 16 1964 and sponsored by Mount Dora received their Charter on Saturday evening Sept 12 at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center Tavares. President Herman Steverson announced the guest speaker will be the president of the Florida JayCees and invited civic leaders to attend. Strict Enforcement Due On Game Laws

Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission plans uniform enforcement of hunting and fishing rules with 36 new wildlife officers and staff entering a training session starting September 13 at the Florida Law Enforcement Academy in Tallahassee. Upon graduation they will be assigned statewide to continue training under supervisors. The program indoctrinates officers in wildlife law, game and fish management, and Commission procedures and policies.

Leesburg Firm Calls for 40 Additional Industrial Workers

Divco Wayne of Leesburg announces plans to hire 40 more carpenters sawhands metal workers welders and construction workers to meet rising production. Interviews began Monday at the Divco Wayne Plant in the Industrial Park with Superintendent E Harris on site. The firm has added 12 000 square feet and now runs seven mobile homes daily with a goal of ten per day. General Manager W D Rowe says applicants should seek steady work and advancement with fringe benefits and good hourly pay.

Golden Triangle GOP Opens 1964-65 Year Monday
