Mount Dora Schools Open With Growing Enrollment
Mount Dora Public Schools began the fall term with about 265 pupils, a 12 percent rise from last year, as teachers and officials outlined expectations for a larger enrollment. Local leaders including Commander Palmer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Mayor Lackey spoke on citizenship, attendance, and cooperation while new faculty members were introduced and the school lunch program announced for Tuesday. Coach Laney encouraged football participation.

Clermont and Eustis played off for first place in the second half at Heim. Clermont shutout Eustis 4 to 0 as Gaines and Sellers pitched.
