Mount Dora Boy Wins Dual Prizes in Orlando Air Meet
Francis Moorhead a 16 year old from Mount Dora won two prizes in a model airplane contest at Exposition Park in Orlando. Sponsored by the Orlando Exchange Club with help from the Orlando Athletic Association, the event drew many local boys and a large crowd. Moorhead received a deluxe power takeoff scale model prize and a second prize for his hand launched plane as judges called the exhibition out of the ordinary.

Kiwanis Program Speaker and Constitution Week Event
Dr. C C Long will speak at the Mount Dora Hotel noon Kiwanis luncheon. Mount Dora Kiwanis and Mount Dora Post of the American Legion marked Constitution Week with a joint meeting and supper at the Community Building attended by over 100. Alfred Rehbaum presided, Geo White led the program, and Judge J C B Koonce delivered the main address on the Constitution from 1787 to today. The evening featured songs, recitations, and talks on citizenship and Kiwanis policy.
