Mr and Mrs Grant Cowles purchased the A E Bell home at McDonald Street and Twelfth Ave. They will take possession after the Bells finish a new lakefront house already under construction. The Cowles will move there once the Bells depart and will retain their current home as a rental apartment.

Mr and Mrs George C Keller editors of the Topic with Mrs George Coffin left Monday for a short trip to Banner Elk North Carolina to view the mountain scenery after frost. They spent their summer vacation there and were impressed enough to return in the fall.
