Mrs Roy F Carleton opened her home for a planning committee meeting for a Lakes and Hills Garden Club Style Show to be held in February. The show is set for Friday February 2 at 2 oclock at the Mount Dora Community Building with Mrs Carleton as chair and Mrs Bernard J Mc Cabe as co chair.
Lakes and Hills Garden Club hosts its annual Dessert Card Party on Friday December 1 at Hartridge Hall noon to support the Wekiva Junior Nature Camp building fund. White elephant and plant sales run alongside, with duties shared by Morley Killinger Rowley Hill and committees on desserts tickets staging and production. Garden Club members urge women to save the date and note civic beautification efforts including school landscaping and conservation education books in city schools.
