At a Mount Dora Rotary luncheon the club approved continuing aid for indigent children with eye troubles, making it a major program under director supervision. Rep William Reedy spoke on highway safety, corrected welfare estate claims, and outlined Florida driver reforms including state issuance of licenses, color photo cards, eye and hearing checks, chemical tests for drunk driving, and compulsory vehicle inspections.

Central Florida's Largest Christmas Parade Mount Dora Jaycees
The 10th annual Jaycee Christmas Parade in Mount Dora starts at 2 p m on December 9 and is billed as Central Florida s largest parade Santa arrives on the City of Mount Dora float and will distribute candy after the parade in Donnelly Park. Nine bands participate and numerous floats are sponsored by local banks businesses and organizations with many civic groups contributing homemade floats. Parade officials urge participants to respond and the procession runs from Donnelly Street to Gilbert Park with sheriffs and other law enforcement leading and Dwight Mosteller as grand parade marshal.

FHP To Award Citations For No Auto Fatalities
The Lake County Safety Council meets at Lancer's Restaurant in Leesburg to honor nine Lake County mayors with safety citations for 1966 no automobile fatalities.
