The Mount Dora Golf Club hosts a three day invitational starting Friday with almost 100 players from Ocala Lakeland Panama City Orlando and elsewhere. Sponsored by local chambers and the Mount Dora Golf Association the event adds to the Fall Season with over 2000 in prizes per flight and awards on Sunday evening. spectators enter free.

Coffee hour at 9 30 a m precedes a 10 a m talk. He serves on Agriculture Citrus Apportionment and Higher Education committees and sits on the Florida Industrial Development Council.
The Lake County Chamber of Commerce across from the Court House in Tavares offers maps of Florida's Turnpike and Interstate System. The free maps cover the Sunshine Parkway Interstate 95 US routes and show mileage between cities.

Two 13 year old boys confessed to taking a 1966 Mustang from Roseborough Elementary School parking lot and wrecking it near an orange grove at Clayton Street and 12th Avenue. The car suffered about 600 dollars in damage and was towed to Hobdy's Garage. The theft occurred November 8 while the youths were skipping school en route to Ocala were later released to their parents pending juvenile court action.
