Mount Dora Golf Club Plans Major Course Improvements
Greens Committee chairman Ken Jorgensen outlines improvements including a small lake at No 16 tee water mitigation and aesthetics, new ladies tees on Nos 6 and 16, re sod No 17 tee, scrub oak removal near No 15 tee for No 17 use, sand trap recon on Nos 3 4 and 11 greens, and replacing lightning damaged trees near Nos 16 and between Nos 7 and 8. Jud Towne scored a Hole in One on No 7 witnessed by three others. Flower beds around the first tee look splendid thanks to Betty and Hard Rock Wilson.

Shuffleboard Club Notes Bright, Busy Week
Red and Black members greet each other before shuffleboard play reaching 13 courts with M Fairbanks in charge. Results include McClain Young Red 242 versus Lee Wimberly Eaton Black 259. second high Red Hensley Eaton 240 against Romano Wimberly Black 246. Friday saw twelve courts, rain halted playoffs. bingo and pinochle featured. Tom Parke underwent open heart surgery and Kitty Bausche recovering from surgery. Shuffleboard Dinner Saturday drew good attendance. 1975 dues due. bridge and 500 evenings start Mondays at 7 pm run by Jan and Dave Calder.
