Bowling League Plans Under Way In Mount Dora
Plans are under way for the North Central Florida League season starting January. John Mueller will represent Mount Dora at a November 14 meeting to perfect plans. About 30 bowlers signed up for a Monday and Thursday series, with 14 rinks available for pill bowling and league teams to be selected later. A piano gift in memory of Gibby Gibson was donated, and Madge Gibson was named honorary life member.

Shuffleboard games occupied two sessions on Tuesday October 31 with 12 and 13 courts. Winners included Kay Therrien and Nina Tyson defeating Wallace Hancock and Jennie Sutliff. Dinner plans at the Community Building were revealed for November 11 with 5 pm service, and card parties resume November 18 at 7 pm at the club.
