A Lake County auxiliary for the Children’s Home Society of Florida has been formed to support the Central Florida Division with headquarters in Orlando. Officers include Kathie Seabrook president and Terri Ruth vice president. A special meeting is set for Nov 8 at Lake Sumter Community College to hear Dorothy Pearson discuss services.

Mrs. Eugene L. Nixon of Mount Dora went to Helena Montana with her son and his wife for a month. The son was with the Montana Foundation for Medical Care after a long run as Associate Director of the Florida Medical Association. Local events include a Christmas County Council luncheon on December 9 at the Agricultural Center in Tavares and plans for the 3 day Farm City Fair at Lake County Fairgrounds November 9 to 11.
