Four Lake County Papers Change Hands Last Week
Lake County newspapers shifted ownership as The Lake Region sold by George W. Hopkins to C. A. Lawrence and wife with Virginia roots. They relocate to Eustis after a Grand View Hotel stay. Hopkins plans a long rest from publishing duties. The John H. Perry organization acquired Leesburg Commercial, Leesburg Ledger and Grove Land Graphic, planning a merger and an eight page feature section. Gilbert Leach will remain editor for the Commercial.
