Lake County hosts a two day flower show at the court house April 9 and 10. Doors open 2 p m Saturday and 10 a m to 6 p m daily with exhibits by Much Stencot and other local growers. Entry clerk Mrs Charles Himelsbaugh and judges Prof and Mrs E L Lord will oversee judging.

Community Exhibit Rules and Ribbon Awards Overview

Exhibits are received Saturday 2 to Sunday 10 by 10 with entry tagging at the classification booth. Each class with a single entry is judged on its merits. Exhibits must be completed by noon Saturday for judges. No artificial grass. only show officials stay during judging. Lakeside Park Improvement Work to Begin

Work on Lakeside Park under the WPA project will start Monday per Dan Bishop mem and the Iota. Temporary WPA offices have been opened in the bowlers' club house. The plan includes a turn around circle and parking space to enhance the park with lawn bowling courts and other recreation facilities at the lakefront near Donnelly Avenue.
